For the 2014-2020 financial framework, various funds and instruments to increase control and security in the field of policing, borders and visas, and migration and integration.
The Internal Security Fund (ISF) has as its main objectives to provide financial support to the fight against terrorism and organised crime and to promote crisis management in Member States, as well as to provide financial support to the fight against illegal immigration, cross-border crime and support to the common visa policy.
The SGSICS has returned €103 million (including the current 2022 annuity) from the Internal Security Fund (2014-2020) in line with its functions and responsibilities.
The purpose of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund is to contribute to developing the Union's common policy on asylum and immigration and to strengthening the area of freedom, security and justice in the light of the application of the principles of solidarity and responsibility sharing between Member States and cooperation with third countries.
The participation of the SGSICS in the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund has resulted in a return of € 294,469.83.
